Professor aladin aladin [he is invariably and universally known simply as 'aladin'] is active across categories and sectors as academic, strategic counsel and interdisciplinary artist. As DeltaRail Visiting Professor of Strategy and Innovation he is currently associated with the Royal College of Art as well as Cranfield University.In the past he has taught at Manchester University, City University London, the London School of Economics, Imperial College London and Copenhagen Business School amongst others.

His eclectic experience at the most senior levels includes having advised on developing country debt reschedulings, the restructurings of global corporations, the communications strategies of world cities and on complex community development projects across the world. As Co-Chair of the  Cultural Strategy Group at London's City Hall 2000-4, aladin was instrumental in the creation of the capital's integrated development plan for  culture, media, sport, arts, heritage and tourism - a world first for a city. aladin also has significant experience of creative and experimental approaches to the regeneration of marginalised or remote communities: he has advised on projects and processes in Peckham and Deptford/London, Dale/Norway, Fogo Island/Canada, Montpelier/France among others.

In the capacity of strategic counsel aladin's unique, interdisciplinary approach has been engaged by institutional clients including EDF, Schlumberger, LVMH, Adidas, Cadbury-Schweppes, DEFRA, Carbon Descent, London Sustainability Exchange. aladin is active as an interdisciplinary artist and producer; his projects have taken place at the ICA and LIFT Festival in London, Manifesta Bienniale in Spain; he was instrumental in devising and realising ZeroZeroZero at the Whitechapel Art Gallery in 1999 (focusing on the emerging practices of British Asian artists) and The Changing R6+9oom at the London 2012 Festival/Cultural Olympiad (focusing on art and culture arising from the uprisings across the Middle East and North Africa). He has also been critical friend to policy initiatives across parties - including Mayor Ken Livingstone's cultural, energy and sustainable development plans and Prime Minister David Cameron's TheBigSociety.co.uk third sector initiative. aladin also advises the pioneering media initiatives The Bureau of Investigative Journalism, Wikipedia Co-Founder Larry Sanger's Infobitt and Bangladesh's principal English language news organisation bdnews24.com. aladin has also counseled a number of communications agencies, most recently including Borkowski.Do and PimpMyCause.org. aladin also has several decades practical experience of working with young people at risk of violence - primarily in gangs - which has also encompassed work with the charities Cambridge House and CRISIS in London but also projects in France and Germany; currently he advises Project 507 in London

Finally, aladin is a world renown magician who appears as himself in the Universal Pictures film 'Magicians', which features the stars of British television's 'Peep Show' and 'Dr. Who'; he is also unofficial world record holder for being able to throw a playing card great distances and at dangerous speed.  www.aladinaladin.com
